"It sounds like a robot chewing with no teeth." - Benjamin Fall

Deeply intense yet also somehow quite friendly   Ice Cream for Quo

RAUCOUS, PRIMITIVE RACKET   Topplers Records

"the intro sound isn't cool, only annoying. The un-tightness of it isn't cool either. ...... When the song actually kicks off, the one sound I like is the guitar, that is, during his chord playing. The drums sound awful, not just lo-fi. That bass sound—whatever it is—continues to break my balls throughout..... it is just too poorly executed for me to enjoy it." An Adrian album's review poster re: Zinc

a lurching lolloping groove of stumbling garage moves and brevitous kraut chug and unweedy rough traderry. if an austrian wrong-brained man-mental had locked the fall, swell maps and link wray in his hell-cellar and forced them to incestuously breed for generations what would come crawling out of this depraved bodily fluid soaked primal soup would be the knockouts   Cows Are Just Food

effortlessly joyful and it made me want to dance drunkenly around the room and nothing ever makes me want to dance, drunkenly or otherwise  Wonderful Wooden Reasons

Very possibly the best album released in 2009.....a wonderful collision of sparkling garagey rock with a real groove-based pop mentality. .... like a boxer who dances as he punches your lights out...... It's like the best bits of The Monkees, Neu, The Fall and Link Wray, with only the most minimal vocals on a couple of tracks........ let a little suncream into your life. Dazzling.  Dave Gilmour's cat

a listenable fusion of sorts that doesn't annoy but just sounds like pure goodness. For fans of Devo, The Cramps, At the Drive in and Vhs or Beta this may just be the listen you have been waiting for Punk Rock, Hardcore and Ska Music Resource n Review

'The Knockouts are to Luton what the pier is to Southend; grand, essential, inextricably moored to its locale, yet severely in need of maintenance and attention. The new album is by turns thrilling, jubilant and life-affirming.'

Andrew Hunt, Director of Focal Point Gallery, Southend-on-Sea,
and devotee of Rossi's famous Ice Cream

acousticatory marvel that is born from the drone of High Town and shaped in the delicate, some may say featherlike, fingers of The Knockouts
Paul Curry, PDM Music

Each good album should start with a tune like Test Signal
Michael (Cologne)

Knockouts new album / Is Honolulu Suncream. / It's really not bad
    Luton Haiku

Is it a bit like The Birthday Party meets Suicide meets Gallon Drunk? The title suggests it. Although i would have preferred Honolulu Sunscream.   James Turner

Well done.  Billy Childish

Not as good as the last album, to be honest.  You need some new ideas.  DJ Crazy Fish
